Celtic recall youngster from Inverness
Celtic have recalled youngster Ryan Christie from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, according to the club’s official website.
The 20-year-old has been asked back to the club to continue his recovery from a knee injury he suffered last month.
The young Scot was voted Young Player of the Year by the Scottish FWA last season.
He returns to Celtic Park looking to make his return in the next few weeks.
Christie signed a four-year deal with the Hoops back in September and has been on loan at Caley Thistle since then, but has only made five league appearances after getting injured at the beginning of November.
The Scotland U21 international is already helping Celtic to the title, however, without yet wearing the famous shirt.
He played a major role in Caley’s win over Aberdeen earlier in the season.
It had been reported that John Hughes had requested that Christie stayed with Inverness, as he’d impressed so highly, but Ronny Deila has clearly decided to bring the youngster back to his parent club.
