While Celtic were keeping tabs on Ivan Mocinic it seems they unearthed another potential target this month.
Defensive midfielder Ljuban Crepulja is being linked with a move to Celtic by the Scotsman, who say Celtic scouts noticed him while they watched 23-year-old midfielder Mocinic.
The 22-year-old currently plays for Slaven Belupo and was linked with a move to Dinamo Zagreb earlier this summer.
He was spotted by Celtic scouts during a 1-1 draw between Rijeka and Slaven on December 13th.
Crepulja has been capped by his national Under-20 team twice and has made 87 appearances to date for Belupo, scoring three goals and assisting on eight occasions.
His primary position is defensive midfield, but he has also operated in attacking midfield and in the centre of midfield.
With the Croatian out of contract this summer he could move to the league champions for a small fee this month or on a pre-contract agreement.
He was attracting interest from several Championship clubs including Fulham and Blackburn last summer, however neither club made a move for the midfielder.
