Just as Tom Rogic’s Celtic career has taken off, Leeds United are preparing to swoop in and secure his services.
However manager Ronny Deila has waived away speculation surrounding his future and insists he wants the Australian to stay at Celtic.
The 23-year-old joined Celtic in 2013 from Central Coast Mariners for a fee of £400,000 and in his debut his assisted Kris Commons and won the Man of the Match award.
However things quickly turned for the playmaker as he made just seven appearances and moved on loan to Melbourne Victory.
A series of ankle and groin injuries continued troubled him and resulted in him missing the 2014 World Cup and required surgery on his groin in late September of Deila’s first season in charge.
Since returning to the team, the Norwegian has given Rogic the chance to get his career back on track.

This season he has scored six goals and also added four assists in 27 appearances, showing his importance to the team.
A quoted by Goal, it’s for this reason Deila wants to keep him at Paradise.
We want to re-sign Tom Rogic and have him here at the club for the future.
He has made great progress and we see a lot of potential in him. He can get much better because he has only played for six months and been out for a year before that. He needs time and he’s going to stay here at Celtic.
He has to be happy. He was very frustrated last year going around injured but we told him that we believed in him and we would give him another chance.
He has come in and shown his quality. But he still has things to work on to reach his full potential.
Talks of a new contract between his agent and Peter Lawwell are ongoing and have been for several weeks to attempt to secure his future at Celtic.
His current contract with the Hoops runs out in the summer of 2017, so Celtic will have to act soon, or cash in on the Aussie.
