Ronny Deila has given positive update on Scott Brown after he was spotted returning to training yesterday.
since Scott Brown suffered a knee injury against Kilmarnock, Celtic have won just three of their last eight games, showing just how important he is to Ronny Deila.
The Celtic midfielder and captain was expected to miss up to three months of action in the green and white Hoops, but his progress means it could be sooner.
Brown’s absence has seen Celtic go on a horrible run of form, winning just three out of a possible eight games since he had a scan on his left knee.
At 30 years-old, Brown is closing on the home stretch of his career and injuries such as this will eventually take their toll, so Celtic must be ready to replace him in the coming years.
Deila isn’t thinking about that right now, and is just happy that his skipper is on the mend and ahead of schedule.

A quoted by the Daily Record, he said:
He is smiling and we are smiling now he is back out running. He is like an 18-year-old boy when he runs and hopefully he can progress a little bit quicker. We’re hoping mid-February.
Brown has been a pivotal player over the years for Celtic and has been a leader on and off the field, leading the way for the next generation of plays to don the Hoops jersey.
