Celtic captain Scott Brown has issued a warning to the rest of the Scottish Premier League that the Hoops are ready to prove they are the best team in Scotland.
Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times, Brown called upon his team-mates to rally together and put together a consistent run of form.
The 30-year-old skipper said:
I still believe we’re the best team in Scotland by a country mile so that’s why we just have to show it.
That belief is just inside you. Some people have it and maybe other people don’t have it as much but it comes through maturity as well.
Celtic is a big club and we just have to show that by results and the way we play that people need to be scared coming to Celtic Park.
We have to kick on and make Aberdeen push us all the way because we know if we go on a run it will be hard for them to keep up with us. We need to go and put it right. Now is the time we have to show our character.
Brown also mentioned that despite pressure from Aberdeen, Celtic will enjoy success with the support of their fans.
You come here to win games like semi-finals, rather than put ourselves under pressure, and although it’s making the league interesting for everybody else, at the end of the day we all know we’re going to be champions and we have to show how good we are.

Aberdeen have mounted a serious challenge to Celtic’s throne atop of the SPL with a run of four consecutive wins to draw level on points with Ronny Deila’s side, although the Bhoys have a game in hand over Derek McInnes’ side.
Brown has returned from a knee injury faster than expected to give a huge boost to the Deila’s side, but the past ten days have seen Celtic exit the League Cup to Ross County and lose to title challengers Aberdeen.
As pressure surrounding Deila’s position at the club grows, Brown will be relied upon to spear head Celtic’s charge for the title as they face crucial fixtures against Ross County and Iverness in the coming weeks.
Saturday’s game against Ross County will give Celtic the perfect opportunity to rid of any concerns and move three points clear, until Monday at least when the Dons play.
