Gary Mackay-Steven and Leigh Griffiths gave Celtic a comfortable win at Paradise and moved them six points clear at the top of the table.
Celtic were fortunate Inverness didn’t take their chances in the first half and punish them when they had the upper hand.
Griffiths had the best chance of the first-half for the Hoops as his shot seemed to cause Owain Fon Williams problems as he parried it away from goal.
Caley Thistle captain Gary Warren missed a sitter after Craig Gordon failed to punch clear a free-kick.
Gordon atoned for his error at the beginning of the second-half to deny Jordan Roberts who was one on one with the Scot.
Mackay-Steven was poor for large parts of the game, but his deflected volley into the net gave the ‘keeper no chance on 54 minutes and gave the home side the lead.
Five minutes later Griffiths scored his 31st of the season with a powerful shot into the bottom left corner and scored a third late on.
