Player ratings: Celtic 1-1 Hamilton (A)

Hamilton denied 10-man Celtic the opportunity to go nine points clear after holding them to a draw.

For all of Celtic’s domination in the opening half, they couldn’t create any clear-cut chances due to Hamilton’s narrow and organised defence.

Leigh Griffiths rarely saw the ball in the first half but won a penalty after using his body well and slotted home his 33rd goal of the season on 35 minutes.

Logan Bailly made a rare appearance between the posts but made several good saves and didn’t look out of place.

The Hoops were in control having taken the lead but Dedryck Boyata’s sending off six minutes later reduced Celtic to 10-men.

Michael McGovern got revenge on Griffiths after saving his second penalty of the night on 65 minutes.

And Eamonn Brophy, who scored the last time the teams met, scored again against Celtic to level the scoring at New Douglas Park.
