Scott Allan is being targeted by a number of Championship clubs as he struggles to get a regular first-team place at Celtic.

The midfielder joined in the summer but has made just two starts against Hamilton and Fenerbahce and made his other 14 appearances this season off the bench – providing five assists.

According to a report from the Nottingham Post, the 24-year-old is on the radar of Nottingham Forrest, Derby and QPR.

Allan previously spent time in England having moved to West Brom in 2012 but failed to break into the Albion squad and was loaned out to MK Dons, Birmingham City and on two occasions to Portsmouth.

Following a move back to Scottish side Hibernian on a free transfer, Allan moved to Celtic last summer for a fee of around £250,000 after making 43 appearances for the Edinburgh side.

Celtic fans have repeatedly called for Allan to start for the first-team, however his chance at Celtic hasn’t materialised under Ronny Deila just yet

He was in action for the development squad last night that drew 2-2 with St Mirren but any move away from Celtic is unlikely in the near future as he look to break into the first-team.
