Scott Brown says Celtic need to ‘grow a set’ and prove why they are league champions the last four years.
The Celtic captain has challenged his fellow teammates to step up to the mark and finish the job.
Many expected Celtic to be further than one-point clear at this stage of the season, however the Hoops haven’t pulled away like they did last year at this stage.
As quoted by the Scotsman, the 30-year-old said:
If we don’t believe that then that five-in-a-row and all the work we have done to get here will vanish. All the work we have done to get to this situation will have been for nothing. Now we need to grow a set, and kick on now until the end of the season.
There are not a lot of teams who have achieved five-in-a-row. I think there’s only been two Celtic sides before us who have managed it. So we could go down in history for that.

Ronny Deila’s side have drawn their last two league games and scored just once allowing Aberdeen, who were six points behind Celtic just two weeks ago to close the gap to just one.
With a game in hand, the Hoops can open the gap to four points again, but Aberdeen look like they could push Celtic all the way this year.
Celtic are searching for their fifth league title in a row and a second consecutive domestic double and Brown believes they are more than capable of doing so.
We really need to kick on now. As everyone is saying, we’ve got a big game to look forward to and so now is the time to start making your mark.
Now is when you need to be brave, when you need to take the chances that present themselves. We’re all well aware what’s at stake.
