Charlie Mulgrew is close to agreeing a new contract that would see him end his career at Celtic.
According to a report in the Mail on Sunday, via the BBC, Mulgrew is close to agreeing new deal with Celtic that would see him end his career at Paradise.
Mulgrew will hope to play a pivotal role in Celtic’s quest for a fifth successive league title and a second consecutive double.
The 30-year-old utility man’s contract expires at the end of this season having spent five-and-a-half years at the club in his second stint.

He began his professional career at Celtic but failed to break into the first-team and was loaned out before being sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Mulgrew made his return to Celtic in 2010 from Aberdeen and went on to win the Player of the Year award amongst other accolades in the 2011/12 season, but has struggled with injuries in recent years.
With Jozo Simunovic out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery in London last week, the Scottish international will likely to partner Danish defender Erik Sviatchenko until the season’s end.
To date, Mulgrew has made 203 appearances for Celtic, scoring goals 29 and has also provided 34 of assists.
