Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata revealed he was surprised last month when a passport official asked him about the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The Hoops face Rangers next Sunday in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park and it only recently hit the 25-year-old just how big the clash is in Glasgow.
Boyata was returning from international duty last month when a passport official asked him about the game and it surprised him at how soon some fans were talking about the game.
Speaking to Daily Record after Celtic beat Motherwell 2-1 at Fir Park yesterday, he said:
I got stopped at the airport by the
people taking my passport and they said: ‘Oh, you play for Celtic? Be ready for that game.’
I was surprised at that because at the time we still had four games to get through before we were due to play Rangers.

I don’t think we should put any pressure on
ourselves because we have had a long season but it is a good chance to end the campaign well.
When I signed I was told, Celtic against Rangers, is the biggest game you could ever have especially in terms of the atmosphere.
The two sides met for the first time last year in the Scottish League Cup as Celtic strolled to a 2-0 win over the Championship minnows.
However, starting from next season the two sides will play each other in the league as Rangers secured promotion from the Scottish Championship at the second attempt.
It is a big game for the fans, although Celtic fans are slightly more relaxed about the fixture due to Rangers standing and shortcomings over the last few years.
