Stuart Armstrong is relishing the chance to be involved in this Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final.
Celtic will take on Championship minnows Rangers, in what will be an intense and hostile atmosphere at Hampden Park.
In his 36 appearances this season, the 23-year-old has scored three goals and provided six assists but has fallen out of favour over the last two months under Ronny Deila.
As quoted by the Daily Express, he said:
I was in Newcastle with my girlfriend when Celtic played Rangers in the League Cup semi-final last season, I didn’t watch it.
Obviously, when you are in the Central Belt it’s a massive event and the talk about this game since the draw has been huge.

That was the day before I signed for Celtic.
I played for Dundee United the previous day against Aberdeen in the other semi-final and we won, so then I headed to Newcastle.
Armstrong signed for Celtic from Dundee United along with Gary Mackay-Steven for a combined fee of around £2 million on deadline day in February 2015.
The signings were completed 48-hours after they helped book the Tannadice side a place in the League Cup final.
In the year following, the 23-year-old midfielder has gone on to play in the Europa League against Inter Milan and scored at Paradise against the Italian side.
Celtic will look to win their second consecutive double and a win in this Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final will take them one step closer to reaching that goal.
