It’s been some time since I’ve decided to write something about our beloved and lots went down since I did.
I’m not going to lie, after last weekend’s pitiful efforts I questioned a lot. I wondered if this pain and the emotional roller coaster was actually worth the hassle. I wondered why the team I love and have done since I was three-years-old were bowing out with a whimper against Sevco/Newco/Rangers/The Rangers, whatever you prefer to call them.
It made me question if those players even cared about the club who pay their wages. Not everyone loves their jobs, I get that, but the displays they have been churning out recently have been pathetic. It’s every young boy’s dream to play professional football. It’s an honour of the highest magnitude to play for Celtic. These players are taking it for granted.
Some people blame the management and the backroom staff, which is fair enough. They now have their wish, Ronny Deila announced that as of the summer he will no longer be in charge at Paradise. Will Collins and Kennedy go with him?
I hope so.

At the end of the day when it comes to kick-off, it’s 11 against 11. Yes, the formations and tactics may not be right, but the players have to start taking some responsibility for their own performances. If I were some of the players, I would be very, very concerned about my future at the club with new management coming in. Or maybe that’s why some of them aren’t even trying. Their minds might be made up that come the summer they’re offski.
A couple of bad games a season you can forgive, but there are many players not bothering their backsides what happens as they just expect the side to win the title no matter what.
There will be a change in management in the summer. Who will that be? Moyes? Keane? Maybe even Mackay. My gut tells me that the board will go for the cheap again. The books are evenly balanced so they don’t see a problem.
Fan protests and mass walkouts are not the answer. You need to support the team.
In saying that yesterday’s game against Ross County was utter garbage. We played the game in their half and all we did was pass the ball sideways. Roberts was running and no one else was interested. The end result really didn’t surprise me.
I will leave you with a quote from the infamous Green Brigade from the beginning of the season. Note the second line.
Thoughts on the banner on display today at Celtic Park from the Green brigade. Do you agree with their message? pic.twitter.com/4FhgdX5orl
