English Premier League side West Brom are eyeing up a double swoop for James Forrest and Charlie Mulgrew.
According to a report in the Daily Record, both players, who are free agents this year, are wanted down south by Tony Pulis’ side.
Mulgrew’s contracts with Celtic expires at the end of this season while Forrest’s runs until the end of this year, so West Brom could get both for a bargain.
The 29-year-old missed a large portion of the season through injury and returned in months to help Celtic win the league, however, he went off injured yesterday again with what looked like a groin problem.
His versatility would be a major factor in West Brom’s decision to take him as Pulis is fond of centre backs who can also play at full-back, and the Scottish international fits that bill perfectly.

West Brom would have to pay a small fee to Celtic if they sign Forrest and the 24-year-old could prove to be a bargain for the Baggies if he can remain injury free and get a run of games.
The winger rejected a new four-year deal from Celtic several months ago and is seemingly on his way out of the club having come through the academy.
With no word yet on who’ll be managing Celtic next season, both could be let go to help lower the numbers in the dressing room for the new appointment.
