Ola Aina has shocked Celtic officials by demanding to become the highest paid player at the club, despite being just 19-years-old.
The England under-20 international won the UEFA Youth Cup with Chelsea against PSG last week and made the Blues bench against Swansea the week before.
According to the Telegraph, the right-back, who is out of contract this summer, was demanding wages high enough to see him eclipse club veterans and captain Scott Brown to become the highest earner.
It is thought that Aina’s parents and agent are having an increasingly strong influence over his future and his wage demands.
Although he is talented, the demands from the player are one reason why Chelsea haven’t signed him up to a new long-term deal.
Mikael Lustig is an aging right-back for Celtic and will need to be replaced in the next 12-months by a younger player.
Former Manchester United youth player Saidy Janko joined the club in the summer but hasn’t featured for the first-team since suffering a serious knee injury in October.
The Swiss defender is also thought to be looking for a move away from Celtic this summer as he has failed to settle in Glasgow.
