Nadir Ciftci is set to leave Celtic in favour of a move back to Turkey this summer and end his nightmare spell at the club.
The 24-year-old struggled in the Hoops jersey since moving to the club for £1.5 million in the summer from Dundee United and was loaned out to Turkish side Eskisehirspor in January as a result.
Ciftci scored 14 league goals in the Scottish Premiership last season, however, this season he has only found the net on four occasions and only started games when first choice striker Leigh Griffiths was out injured or being rested.
As quoted by the Herald Scotland, he said:
I would prefer to stay with Eskisehirspor if they make an offer for me in the next transfer window. I’ve enjoyed my football here and I love the club.
We’ve been in danger of relegation all season, but we are all confident of avoiding it. One of the reasons I came to Turkey was to try and make the squad for Euro 2016.

The Turkish FA fined Ciftci £6,000 and banned him for three games as a result of his conduct towards a Turkish Lig referee following his dismissal in just his second game for his loan club.
He has scored three times in nine appearances for the Turkish side and has also provided one assist as the club battle to avoid relegation.
Ciftci spent the majority of his season in Glasgow on the bench prior to his loan move and last played for Celtic in their narrow 1-0 win at home to Patrick Thistle in January.
Colin-Kazim Richards’ arrival on deadline day, along with the return of Stefan Scepovic and Anthony Stokes in the summer from loan spells will only limit Ciftci’s chances at Celtic even further.
However, it seems the striker will move on this summer after less than a year in the green and white Hoops, should Eskisehirspor or any other club bid for him and meet Celtic’s valuation of the striker.
