Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has admitted that he would be happy finishing his career and retiring at the club.
Griffiths signed a new contract back in December, keeping him at the club for another five years and will be 30-years-old by the time his contract runs out.
Leaving the club is by no means part of his plans, and with a fifth league title on the way for the Hoops, Griffiths will be hoping to be at the club to help reach the illustrious 10-in-a-row.
Academy star Kieran Tierney has also come out as saying he would like to end his career at Celtic, with Griffiths now following suit.
Speaking to Scotsman, Griffiths said this:
I signed a five-year deal in December and I wouldn’t have signed it if I wanted to move clubs.
I’ll be 30 when my contract ends. Kieran (Tierney) said if he could finish his career here he’d be happy, and if I could finish mine here I’d be happy too. Why would you want to leave Celtic? It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Ronny Deila will leave Celtic in the summer and Griffiths is already thinking about how he can impress any new incoming manager.
The forward has said he will work as hard as possible to make a good impression on the new coach and won’t be disheartened if he isn’t favoured straight away.
I’m not going to be too downhearted if the new
manager comes in and doesn’t fancy me at first because I know when Ronny came in I had to wait my turn. I had to wait five months for my chance and after that I never looked back.
If the new manager comes in and doesn’t fancy me at first I’ll keep my head down and work hard to pave a way back into the team.
Griffiths has netted 39 times this season and the 25-year-old will be hard to keep out of the team even with a new manager on the way.
Managerial candidates include David Moyes, Roy Keane and Brendan Rodgers and just like under Deila, Griffiths will hope to continue scoring goals for Celtic.
My career has been based on scoring goals and I’ve scored goals wherever I’ve gone. I’m thriving at the minute and want to keep that going. The season’s going to come to an end but I don’t want it to.
Hopefully, we are not off for too long and I can carry my form for the season into the two friendlies for Scotland, if I get the nod, and I can come back and fire Celtic into the Champions League.
Celtic are in action again on Sunday against Aberdeen in what will likely be a party atmosphere following last weekend’s results.
They can clinch the title with a single point, but will be hoping to go out in style with a win ahead of the title party the following weekend at home to Motherwell.
