Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell says the club will have their new manager within two weeks as they look to win back fans.
Numerous names have been reported since Ronny Deila announced he was leaving at the end of the season, including, Brendan Rodgers, David Moyes and Roy Keane.
The latter two have both played for the club during their own respective playing careers, while Rodgers was handed his first job in management by Hoops legend Tommy Burns at Reading.
Lawwell remained coy on who was taking over, but was confident about the outcome being what is best for Celtic.
As quoted by the Herald Scotland, he said:
It won’t be for another week or two, I would have thought. We have just started the process.
We will get the best man available who wants to come to Scotland. We have strengths and weaknesses, but we need to get in the best and get the fans back. I hope that’s what we do.

Deila will take charge of his final game on Sunday after a two-year tenure at the Scottish club.
He will leave the club with two league titles and a League Cup triumph, however his shortcomings in Europe have cost him dearly in the end.
Lawwell insisted that although he may seem to have power externally, that is not the case and he won’t have a say on who is hired to become the club’s 17th manager.
It is not my decision. It’s the board’s decision. I work for the board. I’m the hired hand. I don’t have excessive power here. If you think that I would with a board as strong as that, it’s ludicrous.
Every time you go out for a manager, it’s tough. However, we are champions, we are going into the (Champions League) qualifiers, we have a stable club financially, we have just announced the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in Scottish football history, we have the biggest kit sponsorship deal, we are going to play Barcelona, Inter Milan, Leicester, and it is Celtic. We still have a big appeal.
Celtic are in action on Sunday against Motherwell, as Deila will receive a send-off in front of a home crowd and will lift the league title for a second successive time, which is also the club’s fifth in a row.
As the quest for a new manager continues, fans will be eager to see the club hire an experienced manager, who capable of bringing excitement and Champions League football back to Paradise.
