Celtic defender Mikael Lustig is not expecting to get much of a break this summer, but says that always seems to be the case for the players who play for the current Scottish Champions.
Things have been complicated even more by Euro 2016, in which Lustig will represent Sweden and, if the unlikely happens and Sweden get to the final of the competition, there will only be two days between that game and Celtic’s first Champions League qualifier.

The 29-year-old is currently on a small break that began after Celtic’s title celebration on May 15th and will end in just over a week as he prepares to meet up with his national team for two Euro 2016 warm up matches against Slovenia and Wales.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Lustig said that Celtic is one of the worst teams to play for in terms of getting a decent break between seasons.
He said:
Celtic is probably the worst club to play at when it comes to time off in the summer. We have qualification for the Champions League every year and if you are an international players you are going to always have games in June. So in a normal summer, I would say you have three weeks. A lot of teams have had much as eight or nine. That is a big difference, especially here when you don’t get a break in the winter, albeit we will get one next season.
