Scott Allan says he has no regrets over his move to Celtic last summer despite not playing as regularly as he hoped.
Chances were at a premium for Allan under Ronny Deila, who admitted that he didn’t suit his style of play.
Allan, however, says he learnt a lot from this past season, despite a lack of playing time with the Hoops.
As quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times, he said:
People will look at this season as another one out of my career when I could have been playing every week, but I felt it was the right thing to do at the time.
I have developed other things in my game that I wouldn’t have done had I stayed in the Championship with Hibs and hopefully that will stand me in good stead for next season.

The 24-year-old midfielder struggled to break into the first-team since his arrival in August from Hibernian, making just three starts against Hamilton and St Johnstone in the league and Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
Allan did remain positive about this season and sees it as a learning curve which will benefit him in the long run.
I have a far better work ethic than I had at Hibs. When you are doing well every week, you get into a comfort zone and can go through the motions in training, so when you are not playing it keeps you hungry and you work even harder.
It’s been tough in terms of football as I’ve worked hard every day and not got the reward with a run of games. When I played against St Johnstone recently, I wanted to have a bigger impact when I came in but when you haven’t played for that long it wasn’t to be.
Allan previously spent time in England after moving to West Brom in 2012, but failed to break into the Albion squad and was loaned out to MK Dons, Birmingham City and on two occasions to Portsmouth.
Having played for a total of eight clubs already in his career, Allan will be hoping to stick it out and earn his place in the Celtic squad under new manager Brendan Rodgers, who has begun analysing the current squad.
