One week on from his heroics in the Scottish Cup final, Anthony Stokes is wanted by English Championship side Birmingham City.
Stokes has expressed a wish to return to Celtic and revitalise his Hoops career alongside Leigh Griffiths, however that decision will be out of his hands.
Celtic’s new manager Brendan Rodgers will decide whether to keep him in a squad which is bloated – but is set to lose Carlton Cole and Stefan Scepovic and will be officially confirmed after the window opens on June 9th.
Gary Rowett is looking for a goal-scoring striker to spearhead a side that scored just 53 league goals in the Championship and help guide them back to the Premier League following a five-year absence.

The 27-year-old striker joined his former side Hibernian, after making just two appearances in a Hoops jersey this season under Ronny Deila as the to never quite saw eye-to-eye.
Stokes didn’t make Martin O’Neill’s Ireland squad for the upcoming European Championships in France, but is wanted by Birmingham City according to the Scotsman.
In his 25 appearances for Hibernian, Stokes has scored nine times, including a brace in last weekend’s Scottish Cup final.
Celtic’s squad are set for an overhaul this summer, and it remains to be seen whether Stokes will feature in Rodgers’ plans for next season and beyond.
