New Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to sign one of his former players as he looks to re-build his squad.
According to a report from the Scottish Daily Mail, the new Hoops’ boss is looking to secure a deal to bring Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom to the club.
Wisdom looks to be surplus to requirements at Anfield after spending three years out on loan with Derby County, West Bromwich Albion, and Norwich City, respectively.

According to the report by John McGarry, Celtic also enquired about the possibility of taking Liverpool’s Joe Gomez on loan but were told that wasn’t on the cards, but the move for Wisdom seemingly is.
The 23-year-old is capable of playing as either a centre-back or a right-back and could well be the man who will partner Erik Sviatchenko after Dedryck Boyata failed to impress since arriving in Glasgow and Jozo Simunovic suffered a long-term injury.
Celtic would apparently need to pay around £3million in order to get Wisdom.
I would like to see Rodgers work with the squad he already has before going out and spending.
I was mpressed with Simunovic, he should partner Sviachenko if he stays fit
Harsh to say Simu didn’t impress, I think the big man will come good and should partner Erik
