Anthony Stokes had a successful loan spell with Hibs at the end of last season as he helped them win the Scottish Cup for the first time in 114 years.
Alan Stubbs, who was in charge of the Edinburgh-based side for that triumphant win has since moved back to England to take over at Rotherham and according to a report from Stephen McGowan of the Scottish Daily Mail, he wants to take Stokes with him.
Stokes had a well-documented falling out with previous Hoops’ boss Ronny Deila and it looked all but certain that his career at Celtic was over, but with the Norwegian no longer in charge, there is a chance that he could stay, depending on the thoughts and plans of Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic apparently had the option to terminate Stokes’ contract in May but chose not to as they think they’ll be able to get a fee for him if Rodgers decides he is surplus to requirements.
The Celtic careers of both Carlton Cole and Kazim-Richards look to be over, so selling Stokes now could leave Rodgers short of forwards, but he could use the transfer window to address that particular issue.
