Celtic are considering making another bid to Aston Villa for Scott Sinclair after new Villans’ boss Roberto Di Matteo admitted that he would like to cut down the size of his squad.
According to the Telegraph, Brendan Rodgers is currently debating whether to make a bid for the winger, who struggled to make an impact as his side were embarrassingly relegated from the Premier League last season.

Celtic are apparently preparing an improved offer of £3million for the former Chelsea and Manchester City player after having two previous bids turned down by Villa last week.
Sinclair signed for Villa only last summer after a successful loan spell which saw the 27-year-old play a vital role in Villa’s 2015 FA Cup run, one that saw them beat Rodgers’ Liverpool in the semi-final.
However, after signing permanently from Man City, he failed to show the form he had in his loan spell, with his only highlights being a hat-trick against League 2 side Notts County and scoring twice against Sunderland in a 2-2 draw early in the season.
