Celtic are interested in signing striker Lars Veldwijk from Nottingham Forest, according to a report from the Nottingham Post.
The 24-year-old signed for Forest from dutch side Excelsior for £500,000 back in 2014 but he’s failed to make a huge impact at the City Ground and was allowed to go out on loan last season.
He went back to Holland, joining PEC Zwolle where he had a good season.
He played 33 games in the Dutch top flight, scoring 14 goals and getting nine assists and has seemingly impressed the Celtic scouts situated in the Netherlands.
Veldwijk is currently in Portugal for Forest’s pre-season training camp but did not feature in their recent friendly game.
There was talk that PEC Zwolle want to make the loan move into a permanent one so if Brendan Rodgers does want to sign him, he might have to make a move sooner rather than later.
