Saidy Janko says he enjoys working under manager Brendan Rodgers as he continues to impress his new boss.
Janko has been a regular player in the team throughout pre-season as Mikael Lustig received an extended break for his participation in European Championships.
Now the 20-year-old Swiss right-back is looking to push on and retain the starting berth in Rodgers’ side.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, he said:
The manager has been very positive with me and the squad. He gives me a lot of advice and he’s encouraging me, too. I am motivated to do well for Celtic.
The way he wants us to play does suit me. He wants us to press high and early. He wants us to play good football and attack teams.

The former Manchester United defender was snapped up on a free transfer last season by Ronny Deila, but endured a horror debut season after damaging ankle ligaments in October – which eventually required surgery.
Under Rodgers’ revolution, Janko has shown the Hoops fans what he showed briefly in his 12 appearances last season before his injury in training.
Speaking about his injury, he added:
Football is everything to me and it was my first serious injury. I got kicked in training and some of the ligaments went in my ankle.
I was out for five months but they had first told me it would heal naturally in eight to 12 weeks. It didn’t, so I had to have the operation and I was out again for another eight to 12 weeks.
I was devastated. I was doing well. I got a few starts and I was also doing well with Switzerland.
Janko will look to be in the starting line-up for Celtic team once again tomorrow (Wednesday) night as they look to overturn a one-goal deficit to Lincoln Red Imps from the first leg.
