Celtic’s second leg clash with Lincoln Red Imps on Wednesday night will be overseen by a little-known referee as the Scottish side look to progress to the next round.
Bartosz Frankowski has taken charge of just four games in the qualifying rounds for the Europa League, including Cork City’s draw with Linfield almost a fortnight ago, and has been refereeing since 2010 in his home country Poland.
At just 29, the Polish referee is two years younger than Celtic captain Scott Brown, but despite his lack of experience, he will preside over a crucial game in Celtic’s quest to return to Champions League football after a two-year absence.

Semi-professional side Lincoln Red Imps shocked Celtic in one of the greatest upsets in modern football by winning the opening leg of the second round qualifying game at the Victoria Stadium.
The Gibraltar side sat back as expected before Lee Casciaro capitalised on a calamitous piece of defending from Efe Ambrose and fired the ball beyond Craig Gordon.
In Brendan Rodgers’ first competitive game, the Hoops lacked any real intensity and will need to build upon their performance in their friendly win over Wolfsburg on Saturday when they face the Red Imps.
A win for his side will see them face Kazakstan side Astana or Lithuanian side Zalgiris Vilnius in the third round of qualifying for the premier European club competition.
