Kris Commons has been dropped from Celtic’s Champions League squad ahead of their play-off tie against Hapoel Be’er Sheva.
The 32-year-old veteran midfielder has yet to feature under Brendan Rodgers as he recovers from offseason surgery on his back and has been dropped from Celtic’s Champions League play-off squad having made the cut against Lincoln Red Imps and Astana.
As reported by STV, Dedryck Boyata and Scott Sinclair have been included in the squad which still has one space available – seemingly for a wildcard signing.
Patrick Roberts has also been included despite the uncertainty about his hamstring injury which he suffered against Astana.

Commons was a pivotal player in the green and white Hoops jersey under Neil Lennon, but became less prominent in the side when Ronny Deila took over two years ago.
Despite his age, Commons still provides the squad with much-needed experience, especially in Europe where he has found the next 10 times since his arrival in 2011 from Derby County.
It remains to be seen whether Commons is surplus to requirements at Paradise, or whether he will return to the 23-man squad in the future.
