James Forrest has signed a new three-year-deal at Celtic, keeping him at the club until 2019.
The 25-year-old winger has shown a resurgence of form under Brendan Rodgers following a less than impressive two-year spell at Celtic under Ronny Deila.
After scoring at the weekend against Hearts, Rodgers revealed he was keen for the winger to stay, and the news was confirmed by Celtic’s official website.

Forrest has spent the entirety of his professional career at Celtic, scoring 31 goals and assisting on 27 occasions in 193 appearances.
He has continually struggled with injury since breaking into the Celtic side in 2010 and won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award, but hasn’t followed that up with a consistent run of form.
With a new lease of life under Rodgers, the winger will now hope to remain in the team and hold down a regular place despite the arrival of Scott Sinclair and the impressive form of Patrick Roberts before he picked up a hamstring injury.
Celtic and Forrest will look to pick up where they left off on Sunday and get another win under their belt before the Champions league play-off when they face Motherwell tonight (Wednesday) at Paradise.
