Kieran Tierney has given an update on his recovery from injury to Celtic fans on Twitter tonight after going under the knife.
The 19-year-old defender picked up an ankle injury in training last weekend that required surgery, and will miss two months of action as a result.
Op went well! Thanks for the continued support🍀
Gutted I can't make @TheNotoriousMMA fight next week! Still buzzing to see him make history! pic.twitter.com/XGwYfTc9HH— Kieran Tierney (@kierantierney1) November 3, 2016

So far this season the young left-back has continued to impress fans with his no-nonsense defensive approach and his relentless attacking play.
In his 19 appearances this season in all competitions, Tierney has provided seven assists – including two on his 50th appearance for the Hoops against Manchester City in the Champions League– which is a very impressive return for a defender.
Tierney was the shining light in the squad last season under Ronny Deila, who gave him his debut against Dundee and has allowed him to flourish in the side.
Rodgers has continued to helped in the development of the youngster, who will look to come back strong again next year for Celtic.
