Celtic have a number of players who look likely to leave in the coming transfer windows, whether that be because they want to or simply because they aren’t good enough for the first-team.
Previous Celtic managers have varied when choosing to work with a large squad or a smaller unit, depending on their game plan and the demands of their style of play.
Brendan Rodgers’ current squad is large enough to play both domestically and in Europe, with a few players having a career revival under the former Liverpool boss. And with Celtic’s strong start to the 2016/17 season, where they have gone eleven games unbeaten in the league, it looks like some players may be heading for the exit door this coming January if they want to play regular football.
