Stuart Armstrong has issued a rallying call to his team mates ahead of Wednesday’s crucial game against Barcelona.
The 24-year-old broke into the starting team following an impressive outing away to Ross County and scored the only goal on Friday night at Rugby Park.
Having come off the bench in Celtic’s last outing against Barcelona, the Scot will be looking to right the wrongs of that night at the Camp Nou.
As quoted by the Scotsman, Armstrong said:
I don’t care who it is who becomes the new Tony Watt on Wednesday – as long as it’s someone.
We can’t forget that game in the Nou Camp entirely. We don’t want to dwell on it either, but it’s important 
we learn from it and make 
sure we don’t make the same mistakes again.
We’ve had good performances against Manchester City and Monchengladbach since then. We showed we learned from the game. Of course it’s a big ask. But if we want to be in Europe after Christmas, then we really need to take something from the game.
I’m more comfortable now that I am operating in the middle of the pitch, rather than wide on the left where I was last season. I feel I can get into better positions and move about the team and into goal scoring positions more naturally.
Armstrong made his first start in the Champions League group stages last time out in Germany, and will be looking to build upon his impressive performances alongside captain Scott Brown on Wednesday.
Brendan Rodgers hailed his predecessor Ronny Deila at the weekend for bringing Armstrong to the club – who is growing in stature a the club and has three goals and two assists in 18 appearances this season.
Celtic will welcome Barcelona to Paradise for the third time since 2012 and Rodgers’ will have his first chance to win silverware at the club four days later when they take on Aberdeen in the League Cup final at Hampden.
