Brendan Rodgers has given an update on Scott Sinclair’s status after reports emerged earlier today that he will miss Sunday’s League Cup final against Aberdeen.
The 27-year-old walked off at half-time against Barcelona but didn’t return after feeling the effect of a hamstring strain in the dressing room and was replaced by James Forrest.

Sinclair has been in stellar form for Celtic this season, scoring in his first six league games and has 10 goals in 22 appearances this season in all competitions.
James Forrest and Patrick Roberts the only natural wide men to make a first-team appearance this season other than Sinclair, leaving Celtic short of relaible options if he is out for a prolonged period.
Any injury to the winger could give Gary Mackay-Steven a chance to break into the first-team after an extended period out following ankle surgery, and played his first game of the season for the Under-23’s against Aston Villa earlier this month.
The Hoops are in action against Aberdeen in the League Cup final at Hampden and will look to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Barcelona earlier this week.
