Celtic are keeping tabs on Orlando City forward Cyle Larin after a string of impressive performances.
According to FourFourTwo USA’s Paul Tenorio, Celtic are lining up forward prospects in case Moussa Dembele leaves in the summer, although they could still look to sign Larin even if Dembele remains at the club.
Larin was the first overall pick in the 2015 MLS draft and has scored 31 goals in 59 games over the course of his two seasons in Orlando.

He’s been rewarded for his form in the MLS by being called up to the Canadian national team. for whom he’s scored five goals in 19 games.
Due to the way the MLS works, if Orlando sell the 21-year-old now, they’ll only get 50% of his transfer fee, with the other 50% going to the league itself.
Therefore, holding on to him for another year might be beneficial but if a big enough fee is offered by Celtic, they could choose to cash in to get immediate funds to invest into a squad that narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
