Dundee United want to take Celtic forward on loan

Dundee United are looking to take Celtic forward Nadir Ciftci on loan in Januray, according to a report from Tom Duthie of the Dundee Evening Telegraph.

Celtic signed Ciftci from the Tangerines back in 2015, paying around £1.5million to get him, however, he’s not impressed for the champions and looks to be on his way out of the club.

According to the report, Celtic are looking to sell the player on a permanent deal as they hope to recoup as much of the £1.5million they paid for him. However, interest in the 24-year-old isn’t doesn’t seem to be flooding in so they might allow him to go on loan if there’s no chance of a sale.

Dundee United probably couldn’t afford to re-sign Ciftci on a permanent deal but they would be willing to take him on loan until the end of the season in a deal that would suit all three parties.
