Player ratings Celtic 1-0 Partick Thistle (H)

Scott Sinclair scored on his first start since returning from injury as Celtic went 14 points clear at the top with a game in hand.

Thistle had two chances early on forcing Craig Gordon into saves but posed little threat for the remainder of the game.

Sinclair gave Celtic the lead on 16 minutes, scoring his 11th goal of the season on a less than appealing night for the fans in Glasgow.

Liam Henderson took a quick training ground free-kick from a wide area, rolling it along the box to the winger who whipped it into the roof of the net and beyond the ‘keeper.

Debutant Calvin Miller had a chance of his own on 30 minutes after some quick one touch football with Patrick Roberts and Liam Henderson but his right footed shot was saved.

Ziggy Gordon steamed through on goal after Jozo Simunovic was caught out of position, but couldn’t hit the target.
