Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic will miss a period of time after sustaining an ankle injury during Saturday’s home game.
Rogic limped off the field of play following a foul from ex-Hoops defender Darren O’Dea and will miss at least a further week of action.
Rogic left Paradise on Saturday evening in a moon boot, and Rodgers gave an update tonight after a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle.
He should be fine. He’s got a knock to the ankle but we are hopeful he’ll back for Ross County.
The Hoops attacking midfielder has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 10 goals and provided five assists in all competitions, including the winners against Motherwell and Aberdeen this season.
The Aussie number 10Â thrived under Ronny Deila last season after finally breaking into the first team, but the 24-year-old has gone a step further under new boss.
He has been key to Celtic’s attacking play this season and has carved opened defences all season.
Celtic are in action again on Saturday as they travel to Hamilton on Christmas Eve.
