Seven Celtic youth players who left too soon

Last night former Celtic youth player Stuart Findlay made his debut for Newcastle in their FA Cup third round replay, making us wonder will he be another player who left too soon.

The 21-year-old centre-back had three loans spells away from the club and left as a free agent in the summer, but never made his senior debut despite captaining a number of Celtic’s youth sides through the years.

For one reason or another, a number of players have come through the youth ranks over the years but moved on sooner than many would’ve liked.

Some have left and struggled to make any impact, while others have had long and successful careers at the highest level in football.

A number of players have broke into the first-team from the youth squad in recent years, including Liam Henderson, Callum McGregor, Kieran Tierney and most recently Calvin Miller.

Will Findlay be among these seven players in the near future that left Celtic too soon?
