Efe Ambrose has hinted at a possible departure from Celtic in the near future with his time at the club coming to an end.
The Nigerian international denied claims that linked him with a move to Hibernian.  However, he hinted at a departure from Celtic in the summer.  Speaking to owngoalnigeria.com, the defender said:
It’s not true, I’m not joining Hibernian but I know where I am going soon,
You guys should be patient. Very soon it will be public knowledge. Summer is not far off, maybe before then, you never know.

The 28-year-old has not made a single league appearance for the Hoops this season. With the host of defenders that Brendan Rodgers currently has at his disposal, it is unlikely that he will break into the Celtic line-up.
Ambrose has been at Parkhead for four seasons and during his time, he has become known to be a liability in defence. Moreover, the Hoops fans enjoyed his iconic somersault celebration when he scored, but this was rare.

The Nigerian’s career at Celtic has been filled with glory – he has won three Scottish Premiership titles, one Scottish Cup and one Scottish League Cup.
His contract runs out in the summer and it is likely that the gaffer will allow it to end. It seems that Ambrose has his heart set on his next move and it is only a matter of time before that becomes public.
