Celtic loanee Patrick Roberts could be a potential absentee from the Scottish Cup final in May if the Hoops make it to the final at Hampden Park.
Rodgers’ side beat St. Mirren 4-1 last weekend to book their place in the last four, where they have been drawn with city rivals Rangers.
The tie is scheduled to be played on either 22nd or 23rd of April at the national stadium.
And if the champions defeat Rangers and make it to the final, where they would play either Hibs or Aberdeen, they would have to make make do without Roberts.
In a report by The Scotsman, the skillful winger would miss the final on May 27th as he will most likely be selected to play for England under-20s at the World Cup in South Korea, with the tournament kicking-off a week before the Cup final.
Roberts, 20, made the loan switch to Glasgow from Manchester City in January 2016 and has become a fan favourite among many since for his dazzling displays.
So far this campaign he’s bagged five goals as well as tallying 11 assists in all competitions.
He scored against parent club Man City last December when the Hoops managed a 1-1 draw with Guardiola’s side at the Etihad in the Champions League group stages.
