Erik Sviatchenko has seemingly fallen out of favour in recent months with the emergence of Dedryck Boyata limiting his role in the team and now, unsurprisingly, he’s being linked with a move away from the club.
Reports in the Danish media, citied by Sport Witness, claim that current English Premier League champions Leicester City are interested in signing the 25-year-old in the summer.
The Foxes were apparently keen to sign the Danish international during the January transfer window but were unable to get a deal done but it looks like they’ll try again when the transfer window opens.
In their report, Danish outlet BT claim that it isn’t just Leicester who want Sviatchenko and that there are several clubs apparently interested in signing him.
Kolo Toure is out of contract in the summer so if they do also decide to cash in on Sviatchenko, Brendan Rodgers will definitely have to go into the market to buy a new defender.
Can’t see him being at Celtic much longer. I think he has struggled at times in the champions league and against sevco. I thought he was younger than 25 also and Brendan is looking to buy a top quality centre half If a good offer comes in for him and Biton then take the money HH

Totally agree..my exact thoughts..Boyata too..I’m not fooled by Boyata…ok in the Premiership..but in Europe ..he will cost us..there’s a touch of the Ambrose about him..doesn’t focus sometimes in big games.
