Celtic secured their place in the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen with a convincing win over Rangers at Hampden.

The Hoops dominated the first-half but couldn’t find openings in the final third to kill the game off as their opponents struggled to get any momentum in the game.

Callum McGregor opened the scoring after 11 minutes with a wonderful first-time finish with his left into the bottom left corner from Moussa Dembele’s layoff.

The Frenchman created a number of openings and got in behind the Rangers defence but went off injured before the half hour mark after pulling his hamstring and was replaced by Leigh Griffiths.

And five minutes into the second half the Scottish international won a penalty which was converted by Scott Sinclair for his 24th goal of the season.

Patrick Roberts made the run and provided the ball through to Griffiths and run Myles Beerman ragged all afternoon.
