Celtic looking to swoop in for Manchester City defender

Celtic are reportedly looking to swoop in to sign Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer in the summer.

According to The Times, Adarabioyo has stalled talks of a new contract with Manchester City as he seeks assurances bout his game-time in the first team.

The highly-rated teenager has failed to break into the first-team this season and is not happy with the amount of time that Pep Guardiola is giving him.

His current contract expires in the summer and he looks ready to move and further his career elsewhere if he cannot force his way into City’s team.

Celtic, Everton and RB Leipzig are named among the teams interested in acquiring his signature in the summer.

If he were to leave City, then they will be due a fee as he is under-23, meaning the case would be settled by a tribunal unless the clubs can come to an agreement.

Adarabioyo was expected to be given at least ten games this season but instead has just started one game, which happened to be against Celtic in the Champions League, a game which was a dead rubber.
