Newcastle and Huddersfield are both reportedly lining up £8million moves to land Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the newly-promoted Premier League duo will battle it out to sign the Croatian central defender as they both prepare for life in the top flight.
Simunovic has enjoyed a strong season in Scotland with Celtic, helping them to secure their domestic treble.
Speculation has been surrounding the centre back in the last few months and if Simunovic does choose to depart Celtic Park this summer, he most certainly won’t be short of potential suitors.
It’s stated that the Magpies and the Terriers are set to be rivalled by Burnley in their chase to sign Simunovic whilst Spartak Moscow are also reported to be interested in signing him too.
While interest in the 22-year-old is expected given his clear quality, Celtic will be keen to keep hold of Simunovic as they look to try to repeat an unbelievable season.
