Ntcham in Glasgow for a medical ahead of his move to Celtic

Olivier Ntcham is currently undergoing a medical this evening in Glasgow ahead of his proposed move to Celtic.

The report comes from So Foot French journalist Babacar Sall, who says the 21-year-old is in Scotland for a medical.

Foot Mercato also say he is in Glasgow for a medical and the deal is “90% complete” for a fee of around €4.5 million.

The French U21 international signed for Manchester City in 2012, and has spent the last two seasons on loan at Serie A side Genoa, sparking interest from Lazio and Torino this summer.

Brendan Rodgers has been on the look out for a powerful number 10 player “of significant pedigree” whom he has been watching for six months.

This follows several reports last night and this morning that Celtic were interested in Ntchams services, after he made 41 appearances in the last two seasons for Genoa.

During his time he scored three goals and provided two assists for the Italian side and returned to Manchester after his loan spell.

Celtic continued their preparations for their Champions League qualifier against Linfield next Friday night with a 9-0 win over Shamrock Rovers’ reserve side in Dublin.

If Ntcham does sign for Celtic, he could be in Friday’s squad to face the Belfast side if Rodgers chooses to use his wildcard option.
