Celtic go into Wednesday’s game knowing a win or a score draw against Rosenborg will see them into the Champions League playoff round.
The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park just under a week ago, and the Norwegian champions were unfortunate not to come away with a win.
The Hoops lost 2-0 in their previous trip to the Lerkendal Stadion in 2001, and will look to avoid defeat this time around against Kare Ingebrigsten’s side who remain five points clear at the top of the Eliteserien league.
Brendan Rodgers’ side hammered Championship side Sunderland 5-0 over the weekend in a friendly, with several players staking their claim for the plane to Norway.
Wednesday night’s game will be broadcast live on Premier Sports, with kick-off at the earlier time of 7:45pm.
Celtic
Leigh Griffiths missed last week’s game through suspension and a persistent calf injury, but trained on Tuesday morning and travelled with the squad to Trondheim.
Erik Sviatchenko also trained on Tuesday morning and travelled with the squad ahead of Wednesday’s game, having missed the last game with a groin problem.
Cristian Gamboa made the trip to Norway having recovered from a groin injury he suffered on international duty.
Scott Brown and Mikael Lustig were rested for Saturday’s friendly against Sunderland and will return to the squad for Wednesday’s crucial game.
Callum McGregor could come into the starting line up after scoring a hat-trick in Celtic 5-0 friendly win over Sunderland at the weekend.
Moussa Dembele is out until September with a hamstring injury.
Dedryck Boyata remains out with a knee and thigh injury respectively.

Star defender Tore Reginiussen is out with a thigh strain he suffered in last week’s goalless draw in Glasgow.
