Rodgers: Celtic in the Premier League would be amazing

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told Sky Sports that he believes it would be an amazing experience for his side to test themselves in the Premier League.

With Celtic currently unbeaten in their last 56 domestic games, many have called for them to be given the chance to compete in England’s top division, however, Rodgers has admitted that it is ‘unlikely’ it will materialise.

Talking to Sky Sports ahead of the Glasgow derby on Saturday, Rodgers spoke about the possibility of switching divisions and admitted it would also be something other clubs would want to happen.

It would be an amazing story for everyone, not just Celtic. I don’t think it will ever happen because there is so many barriers to overcome.

Rodgers goes into Saturday’s derby looking to stretch his unbeaten record against Rangers and hoping to add to the 16 goals Celtic have scored against their rivals in the last six meetings between the two sides.
