Moussa Dembele scored his second brace in four days as Celtic coasted to an easy win against Aberdeen at Pittodrie to open up a three point gap at the top of the table.
Aberdeen started the better of the two sides as Graeme Shinnie fired two swerving shots on goal inside 10 minutes that were well saved by Craig Gordon.
Kieran Tierney opened the scoring on 12 minutes with a superb finish from an acute angle after getting on the end of Dembele’s cross.
Celtic had a good chance to double their lead on 18 minutes through Tom Rogic, who continued to terrorise Aberdeen after securing a domestic treble in the dying minutes back in May.
On 39 minutes Tierney returned the favour to Dembele as he played in a wonderful cross on a plate for the Frenchman and scored his fourth goal in four days on 61 minutes to complete the rout.
