Brendan Rodgers has spoken out about daring young left-back Kieran Tierney following Celtic’s 3-0 win away at Aberdeen to move three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Tierney was relentlessly linked with a move away from Celtic Park in the summer transfer window, but Rodgers is delighted that he managed to ward off Manchseter United:

He’s such a big talent and still learning the game
The 20 year old is a Celtic fan from birth and has been at Celtic Park for more than half of his life, signing for the Hoops as a seven year old.
He has already established himself as an integral part of the national side and already has three medals to his name as a Celtic player, so it is definitely true that he is “a big talent.”
The young Scotsman was certainly the man of the first half, starting the scoring off with his first Premiership goal of the campaign, having scored a 40 yard belter against Kilmarnock in the League Cup back in August.
He then, five minutes short of half time, assisted Moussa Dembele for the first of his brace, which he completed with the last goal of the game in the second half.
With Rodgers praising the left back, Tierney himself spoke to the media about his work ethic (via BBC Sport):
We want to be 100% in every game from the first minute to the last. The clean sheet was also very important for us.
Tierney, a fan favourite, is playing a crucial part in a Hoops team which can equal a British record at the weekend, set by Celtic themselves over 100 years ago, of 62 matches unbeaten.
