Former Celtic Captain Paul Lambert believes that it is time for his former club to start making a real impact in the Champions League.
The Scottish Champions equaled their own 62 game domestic unbeaten run on Saturday. However, they have not been able to bring that form into Europe’s elite football competition and many sides have simply been too good for the Hoops, as shown by PSG’s 5-0 win at Celtic Park in the first match of the group stage.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Lambert said:
The Champions league istoo big a competition to say you are learning all the time. Celtic have done great to get to the Champions League but there has to come a point when you say you can’t keep learning all the time – you have to make a mark in it.
Celtic realistically need to win on Tuesday night to keep their hopes of progressing alive and they will want to make their mark in the competition against a Bayern Munich side who will be without Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller.
Lambert still believes that the German outfit will be tough to beat despite not having two of their stars.

Celtic will have to be at their very best if they are to reach the last 16 for the first time since the 2012/13 season, but a win is not impossible and big nights at Celtic park have produced drama in the past. Just ask Barcelona, who were on the end of a 2-1 defeat in 2012!
